SPOTS is a Google Glass app that was inspired by a prototype project that was worked on with members of San Francisco based Wearable World. The original prototype was to test certain GPS location API’s with Glass. After the initial testing was a success. Splice realized a use case for individuals wearing the glass to call out for parking spots when needed. This was especially a good use in major cities where finding parking can be difficult. A application that runs entirely in a real-time Node.js environment and built on Google’s API. Users simply call out “ok Google, find me a spot” and the application connects to your GPS location to help find lots and spots with available pricing in real-time.
